E.E. Cummings On Being You

E.E. Cummings On Being You

As I explore my own personal relationship with fashion, I come back, again and again, to the concept of individuality, and to the importance of being exactly who we are as the gateway to truly great personal style. So in the latest edition of Dress Your Spirit (you can think of it as styling for the soul), I wanted to share a few lines by the poet, painter, and author E.E. Cummings.

Anybody can learn to think, or believe, or know, but not a single human being can be taught to feel...The moment you feel, you're nobody but yourself.

To be nobody but yourself - in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight...never stop fighting.
