A few updates!
Hi! I'm writing with a few bits of news from around here:
First, I'm temporarily pausing the Week in Review to give me some more time to do on the ground work and research while in Paris. You can generally expect posts Mon-Fri now, and no posts on the weekend.
Lest you miss me on weekends, on Saturday and Sunday, I'll be posting images to Instagram as part of a series exploring adornment across culture and time, thematically. Last weekend was stripes, represented in images spanning a century, adorning a Bedouin Sheikh, an iconic fashion editor, and a little boy on the streets of Cairo, among others. As I mentioned on Instagram:
The aim is to present a collection of work tying our expression of a vastly wide range of human experiences to pieces of clothing with surprisingly similar characteristics. It is also to present sartorial inspiration of a diverse and non-commercial nature. If there is a single theme tying the forthcoming images together, it is that those photographed exude a style we can't buy.
So, if you don't already, follow One Who Dresses on Instagram.
Finally, I'm in the process of developing a newsletter and would love your input. If there is something you'd like to see in it, please let me know: firstname.lastname@example.org. That goes for the website, too. I always love hearing how One Who Dresses can better serve you.
